We have heard from customers that they need to access older product versions for projects that last more than 3 years. Starting November 2, 2020, Autodesk will expand previous version access for all customers on subscription and maintenance plans to include the latest version and up to 5 versions back.
- NO CHANGE: All customers can still access the latest version of their product and up to three previous versions from their Autodesk Account.
- NEW: Customers can request downloads to older available versions through the Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA).
- NEW: Customers trading in their multi-user subscription or maintenance plan will now be able to access up to 5 previous versions included in their new single-user subscription.
- NOTE: Customers will continue to receive general support for the current version and the three previous versions ( 2021,2020,2019 and 2018) but previous versions 4 and 5 (2017 and 2016) does not receive any technical support, software updates, hot fixes or security fixes.
This makes it easier for teams to collaborate on the same version throughout a project. Customers will learn about this change in the upcoming Quarterly News scheduled for early November
